Yes, we are finally back! Actually, we've been back for a week already, but we couldn't find the time to write. We had our new internet connected on Thursday, so even if we had had the time it would not have been easy.
Anyway: we had a great time in Singapore! Shorter than expected: Sander made a mistake when booking the tickets. The plain left on the 4th of October at 00.30. Which meant Friday, not Saturday! The 00.30 time confused him. Fortunately we found out as soon as we arrived, so we could adjust our plans a little bit. Which meant we did not take a day 'off', but went sightseeing straight away.
It was hot and humid, and very sweaty. But public transport is great there, and the city is relatively small. Only the Botanical gardens with it's magnificent Orchard garden was a bit out of the center.
We came home exhausted, and we both suffered from a bit of jet lag. Because we came home a day early, of course that meant we had an extra day to adjust. We found out that a day before we arrived it had been 35 degrees here! That's certainly promising for summer.
